Austin Jeremy Erestain on allekirjoittanut valmentajasopimuksen Vaasan Salaman kanssa

Austin aloittaa työt elokuussa 2025

Austin Jeremy Erestain aloittaa elokuussa Salaman valmentajana. Austin tulee toimimaan valmennustehtävissä U14 ikäisten tyttöjen ja poikien joukkueissa sekä naisten joukkueessa, minkä lisäksi hän vastaa nuorten 3x3 ryhmän harjoituksista. Austin on kotoisin Filippiineiltä ja on toiminut Suomessa valmennustehtävissä mm. Leppävaaran pyrinnössä ja Kajaanin Hongassa.

"I am looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities awaiting me as a basketball coach with Vaasan Salama. As a coach, my emphasis is to identify and enhance the strengths of the players and then give them the confidence to play and compete together.

I am very grateful to the basketball clubs that I had been with as a coach here in Finland. I would like to especially thank Nigel Moore from Leppävaaran Pyrintö and Tatu Turunen from Kajaanin Honka who provided mentorship and guidance to me as a coach coming from the Philippines.

I am excited to be part of the Vaasan Salama family and ready to contribute to the growth of basketball in the city of Vaasa!"
